Rodeo Team Excels at Tennessee Valley Lineman Rodeo

Lineman rodeo competitions are opportunities to improve job skills and emphasize safe working habits. Holston EC linemen and apprentices are evidently highly skilled, safe workers since they do so well in the rodeos each year. Two 3-man crews, one individual lineman and one apprentice lineman made up the 2011 team that traveled to the Tennessee Valley Lineman Rodeo held in Sevierville in June.

Brian Allen won first place in the hurtman rescue event, apprentice division.  Chad McLain won second place in the hurtman rescue event, journeyman division. The team of Chris Couch, Wayne McCracken and Ragen Singleton won second place in two events, third place in another event, and won the overall title by completing all four events in the least time with no deductions. This is the third time the team has won the overall title.

Congratulations men.  Well done!
